Date variableThis type of variable can be used to model variables, which correspond to dates such as the date of birth of a patient.
file variableThis variable type enables members to add files, such as pictures or other arbitrary documents/files to a sample.
HTML datatypeThe data type HTML allows you to add a complete HTML document (including pictures) to a sample. The HTML document can be edited online using the provided editor, which works similar to well known word processing programs.
HTML variableThis variable type enables members to add 'HTML files' to a sample. HTML files can be edited online using an editor. HTML files can contain formatted text, images, tables and even animations. The picture shows the HTML file editor.
Nominal variableThis variable type can be used to model variables with a finite number of two or more unordered values. Hair colour is an example of a nominal variable. It can have the values: blonde, brown, black, brunette and red.
Ordinal variableThis type of variable can be used to model variables with a finite number of two or more ordered values. The Likert scale is an example of an ordinal variable. It has the values: strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree and strongly agree. Please note that no distance is defined between the values of an ordinal variable.
Real variableThis type of variable can be used to model variables with an (infinite) number of ordered values such as age, weight and blood pressure.
String variableThis type of variable can be used to model variables, which correspond to strings such as comments or postcodes.
